Hi, Bob –

That’s what the book’s about! Buy it. Enjoy it. And then write me and thank me for letting you know about it. We’re leaving in 7 days after two years and,, call it $300,000 of loss.
Granted we tried to DO something here rather than veg. I’m a businessman and lawyer. This isn’t my first rodeo. When I say a place doesn’t work? It doesn’t work.

I have been curious about Ecuador too. International Living magazine keeps saying how wonderful the place and pushes it hard (they are biased I reckon). I watched a DVD on it and wasn’t too impressed.

Care to share a few points why its not a good place to stay?

I just want to cry… What you say is so true… My Grandfather was born in 1890 and his grandfather, who was a visionary man, advised him to “Go South Young Man… It will mean the survival of your posterity in the near future.” So I was raised with these thoughts… I still just want to cry… So much waste…and so much crime… Doris

I actually had the privilege of witnessing the launch of Apollo 13 in person. I was a teenager and we had just moved to Florida a month earlier. I am so glad my dad (an engineer from Honeywell) took us. What an inspiration for a young kid.

Our “leaders” in Washington truly don’t “get it” do they?
Or maybe they do… I rather suspect our “leaders” don’t want us inspired, they want us compliant, manageable, dependent.
